eXperience is an initiative of the e-business team at the institute of information systems. The e-business team developed the concept of eXperience and the method used by numerous other experts of different universities The team promoted a cross-professional exchange and was the editor for the case studies according to the eXperience method In the years 2000 to 2009 the case studies have been presented annually at least one event, including seven eXperience events in Basel. The case studies have been published in numerous books and articles, also in this case study database.

Ecademy - the national competence e-business and e-government network for Swiss universities!
Ecademy coordinated and bundled the activities of Swiss technical colleges in the e-business and e-government by 2014. Ecademy supported the eXperience initiative and allowed the public free access to the case studies.

seco - Knowledge for SMEs!
The Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (Seco) has numerous offers for SMEs on its website. In 2002, the e-business topic area was expanded. It was in this context that Seco initiated eXperience. Operation and management of eXperience was transferred to FHNW. Aside from eXperience, seco regularly participates in market studies.
